The "Laziness Curve"

📉 The "Laziness Curve" or the Evolution of Human Intelligence? The image made me smile—and think. In the 1990s, calculators replaced mental math. In the 2000s, phones replaced memorizing numbers. In the 2010s, maps replaced remembering routes. Then search engines reduced the need to recall facts. Now, AI is helping us complete tasks faster. Some call it laziness. I see it as cognitive outsourcing. Every technological leap has shifted what we need to remember and where we invest our mental energy. The real question isn't: "Is AI making us lazy?" It's: "Are we using AI to avoid thinking, or to think at a higher level?" The value of AI isn't in replacing human intelligence. It's in freeing us from repetitive work so we can focus on: ✅ Critical thinking ✅ Creativity ✅ Problem-solving ✅ Decision-making ✅ Innovation Technology has always changed the skills that matter. The winners won't be the people who know the most facts. They'll be the ones who know how to ask better questions, verify information, and turn ideas into impact. AI is a powerful assistant—but it should never replace curiosity, judgment, or learning. What do you think? Is AI making us smarter, lazier, or simply changing the way we work?
